Member Paul Tarver has another great musical history program planned for us to kick off the audition of the upgraded AAC audio system.  This time he's going to provide an analysis of vocal harmony using The Beatles as an example.  Paul's presentation will be in two parts:

Part one is a breakdown/video tutorial of 2-part harmony for The Beatles song "If I Fell" featuring Galeazzo Frudua teaching this song's 2-part harmony to an Italian Beatle cover band The Wonders.  Then Galeazzo's YouTube video discussing how he does it.  Finally, we'll hear the masters singing the song from their movie "A Hard days Night."

Part two covers song arrangement.  Critical changes to a song made on the fly in the studio from its original version can be key to a "hit" single. Paul will follow the development of the song "And I Love Her" and discuss the song's transition from mid-tempo electric to its final acoustic ballad version we hear today.

After Paul's presentation members are invited to listen to their own music on the club system.  Primary music sources for the system are vinyl records and streaming from Qobuz.  The club system now consists of the following equipment:

Club 2-Way speakers and cases
PS Audio Stellar Strata integrated amplifier
Denon direct drive turntable with Soundsmith Carmen II cartridge and MMP4 phono preamp
A CD/DVD-A/SACD Player will be available for this event.

For auditioning the new equipment please limit your selections to high quality recordings in good condition.  The member portion of this meeting will be to evaluate the quality of the sound from the upgraded club system.

Since COVID cases are still high in the Atlanta area we're going to add extra space between seats and limit refreshments as a precaution.  Those who are at greater risk for COVID are encouraged to take extra precautions such as wearing a mask.
