Equipment For Sale

William Hall Estate Sale, Saturday March 19
Author Last Post

Message Forwarded to me yesterday, didn't have a chance to read until today. I think the dates on the attachment are incorrect, but the days Friday & Saturday are correct, Steve Gooding:

Greetings Friends and Acquaintances of William A Hall, Jr,

As many of you know, William passed away last year after contracting Covid-19. In addition to being brilliant mathematician and programmer who was awarded kudos by Werner Von Braun for his telemetry programming for NASA's Saturn V Program, Bill was an avid musicologist and audiophile with an endless love for sacred and secular classical music. As a friend of Bill's for 50 years, I'm helping to find new homes for Bill's treasures.

The contents of his listening room are being sold this weekend as part of an estate sale. Of particular interest to you might be the items detailed in the attached PDF. Unfortunately, the ~9000 LP's are not catalogued, so physically visiting the estate sale will be the only way to browse the available titles. The equipment includes some wonderful pieces, ranging from Klipschorn Corner Horns, McIntosh amps and custom components built by Marshall Leach or his proteges. Some items have direct asking prices, while others are being auctioned.

We hope that proceeds from the sale will in part provide funding for a proposed William A Hall Jr Lecture-Concert Series being planned now by William's estate and Emory.

You are receiving this email (in BCC) because I found your email address in William's inbox on a relevant topic, but I'm sure there are others who would like to know about this sale. Please pass this along to others whom you suspect would be interested.

Thanks so Much, I hope to see you tomorrow or Saturday.

Richard Draut
